I would sure like to know who made such a thing and why. But then what is it exactly would be a good question too. So much empty space. why? What's the point of it? The point of the suffering where it exists? To me it sure is a strange reality to create and as one in it, I doubt it is what we think it is.

My question is how *can* any being be an authority on God? Surely God is beyond definition and comprehension in most cases. Authority is something which is severely lacking in my life. Everything is fluctuating and conflicting. There is so much misery in the world etc.

I feel the same... much pain....

but when you see someone happy and light... lol .... you want to have a more optimistic view of the world...... but something's missing....

I suppose it's just a difficult process we are passing through..... and we have to do our best till the end... It's an open challenge, ain't it.........

love

I'm amazed at how much our mind and thoughts affect our experience and perception. In very subtle ways as well as "large" ways. I think freedom from such things is a very narrow gate.

Matthew 7:13-14
New International Version
The Narrow and Wide Gates
13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

I would think the being or beings that created the realities we find ourselves within would have the ultimate spiritual authority. But then they too exist within a reality. What is behind everything, all existence, all that exists, is a question I think we may never know the answer to.

It's really a logic problem. Like what came first the chicken or the egg? If something or someone created everything, what created them? Even if we say something came from nothing, nothing too is a something as it held the potential for something to come from it. What caused the something to be what it is?

It kind of leads to the conclusion stuff has always, ALWAYS, existed. Which is mind boggling as what was the cause or source of this "stuff?" The stuff is very ordered and mathematical like the stuff of our universe. Even our planet (and bodies) are made up of a finite amount of particles and chemicals and elements and forces. Our bodies are 18% carbon and 60% water for example. Why not 5% carbon and 20% water? Well it's a design, a creation, a biological machine. What or who created this blueprint or design? The ultimate authority I suppose.

Maisy,

Christian thought would say this: Not everything is created. It is the distinction between created vs begotten. Adam was created from dust….Christ was begotten. I begot my children….I did not create them. Begotten is akin to a graft or a clone. It is one reason why we can understand and accept the Trinity.

The only place that grafting is mentioned in the Bible is found in Romans 11:17-24…..

I think creating out of something. Like we humans don't make anything out of nothing. Glass is made out of sand for example. We put things already existing together to make a baby. We did not create sand, nor eggs etc. We found it here. I think it's the same with the creation of souls. Made out of energies one finds already existing. The question is what made the source stuff. That's where a lot of people would say God made it as we have no idea. We humans did not make it. Like water and earth and plants and sky. We just found it here already existing. Existing many billions of years before the first life appeared on earth. Existing before humans did.

But did Jesus not say, "we are all gods according to Moses" Did Jesus not say this to the pharisees in explaining that he was not comparing himself to god because Moses said we are all gods and we all have the authority under that understanding!
And that is my humble opinion.
