Book recommendations for herbs

Hello,

The garden is growing at a fantastic rate and I am in need of a one stop shop book on herbs.

Does anyone know of a book that would explain best practices, grow, harvesting, drying, uses?

Also, if the book told the spiritual significance of the herb and qualities for healing and nutrition, that would be very helpful

I know there is always google, but...

Thank you!

It would really depend on the herbs you're growing. And at this point, looking the individual herbs up online is probably going to be your best bet.

In January, I began growing herbs indoors from seed (Basil, Chamomile, Lavender, Lemon Balm, and Mint) in my Modern Sprout Smart Growhouse.

I have several books on herbs but only one about cultivation. It’s called Herbs: Their Cultivation and Usage by John Hemphill.

I recently discovered herbalist Rosemary Gladstar. She appears to be a loving, spiritual woman and I recommend her book, Rosemary Gladstar's Herbal Recipes for Vibrant Health: 175 Teas, Tonics, Oils, Salves, Tinctures, and Other Natural Remedies for the Entire Family.

As for me, I see a real need for such a book. I look at it that growing food should cost us 'nothing' and such books promoting such a belief seem to be non-existent.
