Reflections

[Moonglow]

A contemplation

The tree
Does not try to reach
Down into the Earth
Does not try to stretch
Towards the sky
Does not try
To believe it exists
Does not try to please
Another or its creator
Doest not try
To give support
To other beings around
Observe the tree
Notice it there
What seems like trying
Are mere reflections
Filtered through thoughts
Reflected with in the senses and feelings
What is sensed and felt
Gives birth to what is perceived
Life does not try to be
That which exists
Does try to exist
Just a continuance
Of what was, is, and can be
All without trying, but being

.... We can learn so much from trees.

this raises a question
though bound in limitation
perhaps free will
expansion propels
driving man onwards
spiritually inwards
or so it seems
as divine impulse streams
enabling
our blossoming
layer by layer
as we uncover
delusion
in silence of meditation

whilst the tree
in its entrée
moment to moment
though content
cannot discern
thus slow to learn
as a receptor
not a transmitter
creating no karma
facing no dilemma
shifting with seasons
taking no decision
evolution yet slow
although mellow

... or so it seems

Can feel inspired
By our desires
To reach for connections
To the Earth
To the stars
To ourselves
Life may have
Its own Karmic path
If taken as cause and effect
We have choices
We have voices
We have silence
We have communion
Can be taken as apart
Or a part of
Yes, so it seems
In its own ways
So it is
To be mellow in the flow
To be a fellow in what comes
With in the life unfolding
All come and go while here
Yet, add to what continues
In its own way
So it does seem
