That came from you, not me... I am referring to The Buddhavamsa which is NOT a Sutta nor Sutra....
Is not the Buddhavamsa part of the Tripitaka as you mentioned?

The Buddhavamsa indicates Gautama Buddha was not the first Buddha which is a problem for some Buddhists. It should not be, but it is.

Some Buddhists claim everybody can and will become a Buddha which is another problem for some Buddhists. It should not be, but it is.

The Buddhavamsa provides a refreshing account of the other Buddhas before Gautama Buddha and the interaction Gautama Buddha had with those Buddhas.

I don't know any BUDDHIST who have a problem with any of the above....
Regarding the previous Buddha's, you are still missing the point that's why I recommended you Read and Study Jataka Tales before you Post further on previous Buddha's....

Heh, good one ...

Totally off topic here, but hey ImthatIm ….
I think that ‘we’ had actually ‘stolen’ one of 'your people’s' songs …. (A native american song from Canada?)

It is called a “Canoe Song”, which became a traditional children’s song:

Finnish version:

Thanks for sharing this with me.
We share the same sun, moon, stars, sky and earth, surely songs are meant to be shared like "One Love".(Rastafarian reference)
Just as the many Buddha's share in the same Buddha nature.(If I understand Buddha correctly)

I did see the symbol of your avatar come up at the end of the metal version.(four directions or vertical and horizontal)

When paddling the canoe and singing a song the canoe and paddlers
can enter the flow, become one mind, one heart and one spirit
along with the canoe and water and environment.

No. That was silly. I need some impulse control here.

Yes, that was what I wondered about the original song … would it have conveyed that flow?

Yes – the centre - the way to “orient awareness”.

Thanks ImthatIm ...

I am not familiar with the origins or history of that song.
I am familiar with canoe songs that come from a more primal nature.

Each canoe or band or family can have their own canoe song.
So there are many, many canoe songs.
Here is one more my speed and type.
