What you feel you know about God was never the issue and we're not playing card games for trumps to have any importance. Things that matter are always personal - what matters to you or to me may be different.

What matters here, however, is that this is the Spiritualism forum - under the umbrella heading 'Religions and Faiths' - and what you talk about isn't relevant to this forum.

If you haven't understood that yet it's not because it's unclear or because I haven't tried to make it even clearer.

What I talk about is much more relevant than this forum.

What matters is what we all share, personal things don't matter at all because they will all pass like dust in the wind.

So few people actually find real divinity because of their obsession with what they have, their personal things.. which stand as an idol in place of the Truth.

If you think you know anything when you don't, all you really know are your personal things and they have no relevance beyond being the curtain which blinds you.

That's for sure! All is vanity! Yup!
It's one thing Buddhists and I have in common: detachment..a similar perspective.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

That's ego speaking.

You seek to tell others what is right for them. The subjects you write about appear not to encourage humility. Such an approach is not found in the religion and philosophy of Spiritualism, the subject of this forum.

a few words on Spiritualism

The religion and philosophy of Modern Spiritualism - the subject of this forum - does not claim to have all the answers and does not try to influence anyone.

It seeks primarily to offer comfort to the bereaved and to provide evidence of survival beyond corporeal death and tries to offer healing.

Beyond that those wishing to look further may find guidance from teachers and guides widely acknowledged as spiritually advanced.

Haven't read thread as I like to "inject" my own "take" on initial question...... As far as I'm concerned the two are a world away from each other.... One can be religious...one can be spiritual... The two do not go hand in hand .... Like chalk and cheese.... Although good, I would suggest, If someone is both !

The original question was "What are the basic differences between Spiritualism and Religions? Anyone knows?"

Perhaps the most important difference might be that Spiritualism provides evidence of something - survival of death of the body - that other religions don't.
