This one scripture reveals the whole premise and key to the Christian experience. Here we are told that our salvation is by grace and, also, that our faith comes by grace. It is the fundamental and distinguishing teaching of Christianity. Other religions and philosophies put the emphasis on our works and human endeavors.
Nevertheless I see little if any discussion or thoughts as to the means for attracting the grace of God.
Just curious how others might point to the ways and means for attracting grace.
OMG, I think this may be my favorite post and topic and wording ever. I mean it.
''Grace and gifts'' are my favorite words.
I could gush about how to receive and attract Grace.
I could write a paper on it.

I'll wait a bit...got some other things going on at the moment.

"if you (we) were God on whom would you bestow your grace?" Oh I see you just made it more interesting. :)

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

I realized that my original answer was wrong, Molearner.

it is one thing to be given grace, quite another to actually accept it. As they say, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink.

Through the Blood Gospel of Faith in the finished work of Christ.
My righteousness deserves death but Christ
has offered to accept me in His body through The Faith.
Gods answer is always yes and Amen to Faith in His Goodness and Mercy.

Grace, Mercy and Goodness through The Faith.
Which Faith comes by hearing the Word of God/Christ/Holy Spirit.

It would be interesting to know how many people have rejected grace.....makes you wonder if God properly did His homework......:)

I don't know Mo if we do or don't have it, there does seem to be various conflicting verses. It's not something I've thought much about until you brought it up although you do hear this saying frequently,

There but for the grace of God go I.

Which seems to mean we are lucky to not be in a certain situation.

Folks read the parable of the talents, virgins, matthew 24 and other. There are conditions for salvation. God is presented as sitting on a throne and rendering judgement or mercy, but this should not be taken literally. I might go so far as to say you cannot be saved by any mental works either.

This.... THIS chimes in my soul. Thanks for posting. After all, the actual background to the cosmos is the Divine Silence, that which is the cause of the manifestation of all else.
