Importance of Sun in Astrology

Astrology considers Sun to be the King among all planets. Astrology says that Sun is the ruler of the soul and fatherhood. Sun gives light to all planets. The strength of a planet is determined by its distance from the Sun. Sun is the source of life on earth. Sun governs ancestors in a Kundali. Pitra Dosha can be formed in Kundalis if Sun is aspected with more than one of the inauspicious planets. A person can work in the government sector because of the Sun's effects. Sun makes people principled. Sun makes you a leader, a scholar, an administrator, analyst, inventor, and someone who is disciplined.

Sun shines brightest when it is in Aries sign, Leo sign and Sagittarius. Sun is elevated in Aries sign. Sun's Mooltrikon sign is Leo, and it is therefore strong in Leo. If Sun is strong and unaffected by any inauspicious planets, a person will be successful and stay healthy all his life. If Sun is strong in a Kundali, a person will be energetic and physically fit.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

Same here. No offense to anybody, but none of that Hindu stuff resonates with me.
I'm Caucasian, we have our own wisdom and wise ones.

I am somewhat confused by the above.

Yes, the Sun in our chart is undoubtedly hugely significant. But "The strength of a planet is determined by its distance from the Sun." Does this mean that planets nearer the Sun are stronger than those further away? Are you saying that Mercury and Venus are more significant than Saturn or Jupiter? Or is it the other way round?

And you say "Sun makes people principled. Sun makes you a leader, a scholar, an administrator, analyst, inventor, and someone who is disciplined." But we all have the Sun somewhere in our charts, yet not everyone is principled, a leader, a scholar, etc etc.

Some clarification would be helpful.

Peace
