What's YOUR pandemic situation?

This ought to be uncontroversial so let's please all write without criticism of people and/or bodies. If it becomes a rantfest I'll not hesitate to ask an administrator to remove those rants.

Tell us where you are and what the situation is, what you're experiencing personally etc., in terms of this ongoing pandemic.....

I'll start the ball rolling. I'm in central England where we're about to enter a lockdown similar to the one we first had in March last year. Schools and colleges/universities will be closed, teaching delivered online for a very uncertain length of time.

Non-essential businesses, pubs, bars, leisure centers etc will be closed. Our hospitals are critically busy and it's feared they may be unable to cope if infection spread gets worse.

People are working from home when they can. There's no mixing of different households and nobody can meet more than one other person outdoors.

My country began vaccinating in December just past and there's a massive roll-out underway of a nationwide scheme. If all goes ideally then by March we should see some improvements in the infection rate / spread of the disease with fewer ICU admissions and deaths. A less abnormal way of life may be in prospect by mid year - all being well.

Hi bobjob, I am also in the UK ( East Yorkshire ) so same lockdown here. Myself I am a support worker and working same as the last lock down which to be honest I am glad I am working and fortunate. I am doing my best to stay as positive as I can be, not only is it hard at times but you just have to plod along as best you can, be a listening ear for those that need it and offer support to one another and keep yourself sane .

Hi Bob... And Golden Angel.... Yes.. I expect my UK experience is slightly different to both of yours... I am classed as extremely clinically vulnerable , as recognised by the NHS , and acknowledged by the government.... I can neither work or put myself in a situation of danger...my lung disease will finish me off... No cure and I'm in level 3 of 4... 4 being end days .... So realistically , if I caught covid ( and I don't even know if I've had it !!).... It would not be good..... So even though we all live very near each other , we all experience things differently , according to our lives, health, and jobs.... It's all so very worrying just now , even more so this year, and we are only a few days into it... .it's making me want to eat dripping on bread with lots of salt... A Tribute to the "good " old days .... Unhealthy but lovely !!!...... G,A... East Yorkshire?.... You must expand, even if in private !!!..

It keeps changing... Hull is North Humberside, whilst I'm East riding of Yorkshire... Although both are in the East riding... Then of course there is the boundary , and what falls within the boundary of "Holderness"... Lol...

And 2 days ago in the US their biggest ---3775 deaths!

Not much to mention where I am in Colorado, north of Linen.
But is getting less all around, well, in my county.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru
