right - You don't go to Hell.
Whatever the reason for your friend ending his life he's not going to be punished by anyone for doing so. BUT he may greatly regret having done so and may wish to try to make amends if his death affected others he cared about.
In that and in other ways he'll have all the help and support he needs to come to terms with the manner of his death and to move on. We are never left to flounder by ourselves. Blessings for asking about this often misunderstood subject.
