she has secrets..... a poem
Hi guys came across this poem and liked it felt like sharing.............
She Has Secrets
You'll Never Know Or Understand,
She Appears So Strong On The Outside,
But On The Inside Her World Is Spinning Upside Down.
Shes Smiling 'n Standing Tall 2 The Outta World,
Shes Crying 'n Breaking Down In Her Inner World.
She Appears So Happy to Her Mates,
But Alone, She Shares Her Tears With Her Pillow.
She Knows Not to Get Her Hopes Up,
As They Always Come Crashing Down.
Shes Heard It All Before 'n Felt It All.
Shes Experienced More Then Her Fair Share.
One Touch, 'n She'll Flinch
One Harsh, Word 'n She'll Cry
One Bad Moment, 'n She'll Break Down
She Trusts No one,
Because The People She Has,
Hurt Her 'n Leave Her to Pick Up The Pieces
She Believes No one,
Because The People She Has, Lie 'n Betray Her.
So For Now She'll Keep to Herself
'n Pretend Everything Is Fine, When Everything Is Wrong

That is a very sad poem WL.
When I read something like that it really makes me want to reach out and to help somehow - but then when it says " Shes Heard It All Before 'n Felt It All.
Shes Experienced More Then Her Fair Share." I realize this will be very difficult, that there is more than sadness, but trust and faith issues as well - that it is a sadness that verges on hopelessness.
Self-reinforcing negativities are the most insidious. 
Beautifully written poem. |

To me this poem is a reminder to keep in mind that there can be so much going on in another persons head and how much of an impact a passing smile can give to someone and conversely, how much impact a passing insult can give to someone.
