FOOD for the DEAD and GOD
IN HINDUISM,15 days are dedicated to our dead relatives once in a year. During this period we remember them, and offer them barley wheat, fruits, honey, flower and water with love and affection.
God does not need any food. However if someone offers Him with love- water, Tulasi leaf, Flower and Fruit. He accepts them. To Lord Jagannath 56 varieties of vegetarian food (free from onion and garlic) and fruits are offered but that is not considered to be good as being a worship in the mode of passion.
Can anyone tell what food is offered to dead and God in In Islam and Christianity ?
