The Times They Are Changing

The Times They Are A-Changin’
WRITTEN BY: BOB DYLAN

Come gather ’round people

Wherever you roam

And admit that the waters

Around you have grown

And accept it that soon

You’ll be drenched to the bone

If your time to you is worth savin’

Then you better start swimmin’ or you’ll sink like a stone

For the times they are a-changin’

Come writers and critics

Who prophesize with your pen

And keep your eyes wide

The chance won’t come again

And don’t speak too soon

For the wheel’s still in spin

And there’s no tellin’ who that it’s namin’

For the loser now will be later to win

For the times they are a-changin’

Come senators, congressmen

Please heed the call

Don’t stand in the doorway

Don’t block up the hall

For he that gets hurt

Will be he who has stalled

There’s a battle outside and it is ragin’

It’ll soon shake your windows and rattle your walls

For the times they are a-changin’

Come mothers and fathers

Throughout the land

And don’t criticize

What you can’t understand

Your sons and your daughters

Are beyond your command

Your old road is rapidly agin’

Please get out of the new one if you can’t lend your hand

For the times they are a-changin’

The line it is drawn

The curse it is cast

The slow one now

Will later be fast

As the present now

Will later be past

The order is rapidly fadin’

And the first one now will later be last

For the times they are a-changin’

Hi Red, yes he is amazing, his poetry, where did he get it from, and to the heart. There is so much more like it, anyway gives me inspiration.

How many roads must a man walk down......

Anyway going camping for a few weeks as I have been mentioning, my annual retreat into the wilderness with my side kick, my son.

Life is good out there, the wilderness is always the same, altough the weather can be unpredictable and black bears can be nasty.

If I don't come back, mother took me home.

Cheers Red E.

Yeah, his poetry is almost without fault but I have heard that he can be a pretty difficult man at times. I like Joan Baez's song she wrote after their breakup "diamond's and rust". It is pretty seering lol... He said that her poetry was insert swear word but I think she did pretty good poetic justice with that song. They had a pretty messed up relationship by the sounds of it hahahahaha... Makes for good art I suppose.

Anyway, this song which you posted here is my favourite of Dylan's.

I saw that you mentioned that you were going camping All the best for fun, relaxing and adventures for you and your son.

Time and tide wait for no one.
The magnitude of consequences increase
Choices diminish.

I did not know all the facts about Bob and Joan, I knew they had a thing at one time, I was to busy chasing God to notice.

Anyway, yes we are going camping for two weeks, we get a road side camp sight and then we canoe way.... out there and then spend a few nights. I have heard wolves, and had a few bears drop by on the occasions. Get out the bear spray/ air horn!

Once seen an eagle that visited our remote sight, it was amazing!!!!

Each season is just another adventure.!!!
