Have you ever baked your own beans?
Everyone knows baked beans, but have you ever made the recipe at home from scratch? I followed an American recipe and tried it. Delicious. It had no tomatoes in it but had dry mustard and treacle as flavouring.

The juice on baked beans that I get doesn't really taste much like tomato, tastes more like marrow/squash to me-I think if I did them myself I would use a mixture of different pulses with also smoked paprika in the sauce.
