It would indeed be rude to dismiss his account but please remember that disagreeing about points in it or their interpretation isn't necessarily rude.

Please do remember that we are all entitled to adopt whatever approach works for us individually. It's not appropriate for anyone to expect of someone else that they should "keep an open mind".
Or to assume that because they don't agree about something that their mind is closed - some individuals have more experience and/or knowledge than others and they heed what they've learned. But that's not having a closed mind.

With all due respect, this is a metaphysical topic & one that can not be proven or disproven. So imho, it would be hard to say who is right & who is wrong when there is no concrete evidence & only personal experiences. Like each individual life, each experience is going to be different. I have read hundreds of MDE’s after I had mine.... and there are similarities, but also many differences.

In turn all due respect to you but I don't think anyone was trying to say who is right or who is wrong. But personal experiences may not have empirical relevance.

What I won't accept, though, is that a near-death experience is the same as the death experience. And if we go right back to the original assertions, it's plain that death didn't occur else the thread starter wouldn't have been here to start this thread.

Lambo is the one who is the one who should support his points with anything further he has to add to this conversation.

He said he was resuscitated. And he died a dozen times within a two day period. Forget his points. I would like to know how much was his hospital bill.

Whatever happened to Lambo was highly emotional for him.

His accounts are vivid and I accept what he has told us but it would be mistaken to call that death.

The whole experience may have taken his body close to the point of dying with his spirit preparing - looking forward even - to leaving it forever but for whatever reasons it didn't happen.

Call it whatever you wish it was an experience that happened at a point, or at multiple points, where death appeared to have happened to those observing and working on him.

The common description for such an event is, of course, a near-death-experience.

Hello Bobjod,

Was Lazarus dead when Jesus raised him?
Was Lazarus alive after Jesus raised him?
Who really dies?
Do we really totally die?

So many questions to define what we call death, if death is something that can be really define in a mind box.
Its like trying to define the exact moment, to the fraction of a second, when day ends and night starts or vice versa, or saying that there is an absolute difference between night and day.

Regards,

Antoine

Did he appear dead to those around at that time? I expect so, just as certain individuals nowadays appear to have died.

It's death of the body that marks the event we call death. Our individual animating spirits are eternal and may return to animate another body becoming a different individual in a new incarnation.

Is that what you're thinking of when you ask if we totally die?
