Hi everyone, I am new here. I hope everyone is doing well and is taking care of themselves.

I just wanted to share with everyone my experience. I have no spiritual background and used to not believe in anything.

My awakening process started as a surprise and I didn't really know what I was going through. This happened to me 2-3 years ago, after having gone through difficult times, was very paranoid, depressed and lonely for an extended period. I never realized how detuned from myself I was until the day I started talking to myself. Eventually, there were voices inside my head. During that time, I had many first time experiences. I had a vision of what appeared to be the Hindu goddess Durga after a meditation session. I felt like she came to me in the toughest time as a sign of strength and love, something I was depleted of. I started feeling shivers in my spine everytime I felt grateful towards the Universe. I am not religious, and have not connected that much with my spirituality before the last few years. I simply did not believe what I did not witness or feel. Like I said, it was a tough period for me. One day, I felt the urge of screaming at my body. I saw a snake in my mind and I screamed at it for it to release my body. Around the same time, 2 years ago, a strange dot about 1cm wide appeared on my forehead, between my eyebrows. I felt quite embarrassed because it was red and very visible. I tried to hide it with makeup because it made me feel uncomfortable in public. It took me some time to realize I was experiencing a spiritual awakening. I can't talk about all the things I've experienced during that period because it would take too long, but I have written pages and pages about it. Trying to find an explanation to what was happening, I learned about Hindu deities, Kundalini and the 7 main chakras because of my experiences. I don't know why the Universe chose to manifest itself to me through these. I don't know anyone who practices Hinduism, have never been up a temple and knew nothing about this religion. I don't believe any one faith holds the absolute truth, though. I think the Universe just finds the best methods to connect with you in such way that will leave you in awe.
