Depending, as those who use Pali (eg. Pali Canon) would say 'kamma', whereas those using Sanskrit (eg, Mahāyāna Sūtras) say 'Karma', but yeah. Same thing.

I don’t believe it is, no, but I do believe that our beliefs get in the way of it. We have expressions like “ no pain, no gain, “ and “ if it isn’t hurting it isn’t working, “ and I don’t think they’re very helpful. Even Louise Hay is part of this when she stated that sometimes, when you do the inner work, things get worse for a while.
I disagree with this, and feel that if you believe it, then you will just manifest healing experiences which are challenging. You will just keep tripping yourself up every time you start affirming, manifesting etc. You may even become afraid to even start.
The Higher Power is benevolent, meaning that the healing you can draw in from it is also benevolent, peaceful, gentle and ultimately productive. It is only the negative thinking and believing which gets in the way of that.
As usual, you will get what you believe in.
