Angel1 Third Eye Meditation

Hi. Can anyone recommend a good beginner guided meditation that focuses on the third eye? Either that or quality meditation music or a binaural beats recording? Thanks!

Have you worked with the other chakras yet? Usually it is recommended to work from bottom up with third eye being second to last

How do you work with each chakra? And how do you know when to move on to the next?

A good way to work with each chakra is to use tibetan colour meditation. the reason is each chakra, resonates vibrationally to a colour, as with the rainbow they start with red (muladhara or base chakra) and rise to violet the chakra that sits above the head by a few inches).
so start with red, close your eyes, sit with a straight back, tongue to the roof of the mouth and hands in a simple mudra, breathe in and out thru the nose, and try to see a red colour in your minds eye. If that`s very hard for you (some people and I`m one of em, arent great at picturing things in their head), then picture an object that is familiar to you that`s red, a bus or a fire engine, whatever and try to hold it steadily in your mind, so you can see the colour.
to start off stick with red for a few weeks, eventually, you will see red, it will just explode in your mind. Then its time to move on to orange, then yellow then green then blue then indigo then finally violet. Each colour resonates at the same vibration as the chakra.
This is hard work but safe and very very powerful.

I would just start with meditating first....to try and get to a certain state straight off is not going to happen unless certain conditions are met, why do you want to focus on the third eye?

peteyzen... I like that method, a lot. That really sounds like what I need. Glad I checked the forums out before my meditation tonight. Thanks!

When do you know when a chakra has opened? B/c I believe my Root Chakra has opened, since I'm actually comfortable in my own skin, which took me awhile. My social cues are on point, as well.

Have a look at Teal Swan's video. My only criticism is she imagines that it'll happen for everyone in a couple of weeks. It may for some but for others, several months. But her technique is workable.

I'm normally loathe to recommend link-following but this one is good.

She talks a bit about chakras, too.

Thank you for this! Just what I was looking for!

I also saw above it's best to start from the bottom, when I meditate, I see a purple, mist like (flame?), which I learned is the heart chakra correct?
Is it bad that I have been meditating on the heart chakra?
What would you suggest I do as of now?
