I'm dying....

Hi to you all. Given that I've been told I'm dying I've decided as a parting gift I would "" INFLICT"" my poetry onto you all whether you like it or not LOL.... The very first poem , that I would like to hurl at you, is probably the one I am most proud of. It is the first one that I ever had published. I was stood at the kitchen sink one day, washing up, complete with yellow rubber gloves.... Gazing out of the window to the garden yonder.... Seeing the washing blowing so delightedly on the line , in the sunshine , a perfect "drying" day.... And I was in heaven. One of those rare days you are glad to be alive.... ( The other 363 days you wish you were dead LOL...).... Do please excuse my humour .... I cannot "help " my personality ..... Some may "claim" , that my "personality " needs help..... I beg to differ and will happily poke them in the eye with a stick.... But I am going off track. Here is the first of works..... I hope you like it.........

Poetry is a way to Express your inner feelings. my husband wrote poems and i had them put into book form.
I sold them and donated the money to a cancer charity.
As he passed through cancer.
I have written a couple one was about my father in law he was such a Lovely man. my husband printed it framed it and it hung on my mother in laws wall.

It will be nice to see your poems Elfin. Especially if its in your usual Humour.
I would imagine it would give people a glimpse of the real you

Thank you.... My poetry is a mix between daft or very deep. The first one will be a serious one ........ As and when I can find the book !!!

TO BE BEYOND......

To be beyond and dutiful.
To be, to see , the beautiful.
To smell, to feel, to know, to gain,
Why can't it stay the same ?

To hold so close and hear,
Touch this "Oh so dear".
To laugh aloud,the sheer delight,
Why can't it just be right?

To be deprived of all and sigh,
Time to think our thoughts , to cry.
Rise above ourselves to be,
Ourselves, as others would like to see.

Extinct, no function left at all,
To go across the boundary wall.
Quiet, still, and safe to go,
Deservedly, utterly, rightly so.

When we are born, the death process begins.
At what point in our life do we acknowledge that?
