I apologize for my cynicism. I will not ever come to a positive agreement about Sai Baba. But I do apologize for my posts being so negative.

I use to write a lot of nice things but when I jump on the negative wagon I get all wrapped up.

And now the Christian forums are starting to get to me to. Maybe I should take a break from them as well.

Thank you for pointing these out to me Sorcerer.

Yea, the Christian forums can be tough sometimes!

Breaks are very needed sometimes...just sayin,
I had not read Amilius' 'negative' posts, tho.
It happens.

Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.

Whoa, Charly,
Post #66 for everyone...it was like being in your head while you were figuring it all out.
Very neat.

As usual I am going to type something out , but just for you. I think you will like it.
By Meher Baba from "The Everything and the Nothing", page 1.

"God is Love. And Love must love. And to love there must be a Beloved. But since God is Existence infinite and eternal there is no one for Him to love but Himself as the Beloved whom He as the Lover imagines He loves."...

"To attain union is so impossibly difficult because it is impossible to become what you already are! Union is nothing other than knowledge of oneself as the Only One."

It seems that we pretend to be not-god in order to realize that actually we are God.

Or something like that.

Literally...I also prefer to be a human being who enjoys the taste of sugar than to be sugar.

As a parabel...experience of endless diversity is far better than only one experience.

The aspect of endlessness in Creation is typically God's way of providing us.

There is the wisdom of equality which recognises oneness, and the distinguishing wisdom which recognises the difference between things. Both are aspects of the enlightened mind.

Agree with your words.

I have gone thoroughly with this thread, few posts filled with golden words and this the Gem of all.

Thank you @Miss Hepburn

Very interesting to me... the "I"...2 different takes by 2 teacher/masters.

Ramana Maharshi says the real purpose of spiritual practice is the dissolution of the "I".
(He is very firm about this.)

Ramakrishna says as long as the I-sense lasts...true Knowledge and Liberation are impossible.
However, since so few can obtain Union and free themselves from this "I"...
this "I" will always return to you ...like the new shoots return
when you cut down a poplar tree...so,
"let it remain 'I' the servant".

And there you have both...
