Those silver stars that greet your eyes
I never knew this deep surprise...
And calling further, you let go,
I lost myself to you, you know?

You are everything to me.
The light eternal, chance to breathe,
The circle halo, the summer rain,
The hand that takes away the pain,
Your funny hair, your deep-lipped smile,
Your penchant to compile
Those things you do to me,
The light eternal, chance to breath...

Ah, the light internal shine on eternally.
I am just a simple mind, I know nothing really important.

Maybe it's just all about being... a good person? That could be important... cheers Wagner.

For the sincere practitioner, benevolence comes of its own volition. Regards! :)

Secret Door
(The door seemed ajar so I checked it for honey, but saw that it was empty...)
--------------------
In my search for who I am I listened to silence.
I listened and I listened and silence spake not.
Eternally blessed is the clarifying voice of silence!

Lo, off of the dark there came a tiny vessel of stillness atop the tumultuous waters of my untamed soul.
For a week unto weeks I strove and grappled in the water there to attain the aliment of surrender on that small boat, unto naught!
Unto Naught would I ride!
Such agony it was to come so close so often, only to be driven to the shores of forgetfulness and body by a rampant wave of distraction, thought.
I consecrated a circle and an altar to the god, Perseverance.
In time I thought and divested of thought and sank in the ways of equilibrium to learn the way of stillness.
A harsh sunlight cascaded over the clouds upon the fulcrum of wisdom to illumine and consume the rays of my ephemeral sensations.
In its light I was stricken and dissolved and devoured until all that remained was my remains, bleached and broken, I am no more is in them, that they just were.
Let me disperse completely!

Two young people playing on a hillside in a forest created a testament to joy and there they evoked a forgotten archetype who had left its mark on the life of all.
But I sought who I am through a nighttime of nothing, like the passing of a breeze on yon bed of lovely grass.

An army marched and razed the land.
The raucousness of its reach drowned in its din the lonely tune of a father bird mourning in the meadow, his bitter tears raining down on the earth like shards of
crystal healing...
An army unstoppable marched, it marched through the ports and through the pillars, through the markets and the mazes, through the tunnels and through the
walls it marched.
Its heavy beats afire like a siege upon the evanescing brow and breast of peace.
Towers of war did it build and break down; it flowed unto like the inmost desires of spoilt youth, unrequited.
Lost.
Only one can halt its passage.
Or rather, the halting of its passage is one.

In a cave open in wandering I discovered a glass of the clearest colored hue, its names were chosen by the arrow of mine eye.
Possessed it was of boundless focus but the iniquities of my ignorance brought its beauties not to bear.
I am my worst enemy.
I am the victim of my desire;
Ever thirsty,
Ever hungry it feeds and feeds and never fills up...

In my search for who I am I will listen to silence.
I will listen and I will listen, even that silence speaketh not.
Eternally blessed shall be the clarifying voice of silence...for a time...

Silence is the space between words, that many do not hear. Leads me to ask, who is speaking between the words? "I am" is its voice as I hear it, and offers no books.. to read, as you intuitively seem to know.. Wagner.

We live in a confinement, of sorts, as the world turns around her own wisdom and error.

Nice poem.

Cantilevered Draw
-----------------------------------------------
I got a blanket that keeps me warm
And it calms my mind,
No more need to hide.
I got a blanket made of nothing but cold
'Cause I'll never grow old,
Keeps me warm inside.

Out there in the tree
She waits for me
To play, to seek, to learn, to fall...
They soak up while they can
A broken man
That stands for one more minute
In line,
Then cuts to break the time
And reach the front much sooner...
I have a blanket stitched from dreams on rails
That never fails,
It holds some warmth inside.

Out there in a tree
She calls to me
To come, to play, to heal, to fall...
They soak up in their head
The words he said
Before one more minute,
The line.
If gave chase to when,
How soon,
And then the secret reached
The ears of few.
Standing on the corner
With rainbows and daffodils,
Sunlight, sunlight
Shines upon the hills.

Nice poem.
Thank you! I mean that. You encourage me to answer those queries! I was on a forum where I grew complacent in answering. That's no excuse. But I only ask that you let me shake it off? Hmmm....

Purifying the mind has to do with discipline and concentration. Can you share your methods?

In the distance, I heard a crow, I watched it fly, away. The war has ended..

Thanks for your kind words too, we seem to have this understanding...it's nice and seems true to me. How do we define, silence? Poetically seems good.

A wise man once told me (more like admonished! ): "Talking about not talking is still talking."

My preferred meditation is Jnana Yoga. I use a technique of nirguna dhyana whereby I meditate on silence. At first it's silence of sound. Then it "deepens" to silence of thought. Then it "deepens" still to silence of aught. There is the perfection of one-pointed concentration, dhyana, where one must soak in it. Samadhi can not be grabbed onto. One must submit to the stillness of dhyana in resignation and just wait, day after day, week after week, for however long... If you seek samadhi you will never have it, for that which seeks it is its antithesis (it's already there!).

==============================
My lovely, lovely litmus test,
Your eyes see through,
You do not rest.
Out of all the ones you are the best.
You want to get in,
My lovely, lovely, lovely litmus test.

Swaying by this fleeting wind,
You are the breath that keeps it moving
Ever beyond its fleeting whim;
Dying and revolving.

Love of earth is strong and tight,
But let go of form and love lasts forever.
I turn away to see it all
In willed surrender to
Open.
Being is open.
Silence is open
Perfection is open.

What I came into was proper perspective.
I was like a tiny bubble of separation: infinity on the one side and on the other side and on all sides.
I could feel your longing coming to bear all around me, pressing on me--
The pressure of the ocean depths surely has nothing to compare.
I released myself some and you started sucking me into your bless’d body.
But this bubble clung to its bubble form, it was afraid to give in:
It was afraid to pop the bubble!
But I wanted only to be in you, I wanted to give in to you only; so I released more as I perfected myself in your silent
rhythm.
There then was a silence so loud that it destroyed the silence!
You kept sucking me in and sucking me in until you swallowed my all into your love, there was nothing left.
The peak of experience is open.
Amen.

In Hasidic Judaism the experience of nirvikalpa samadhi is called bitul b'metziut. It's nirodha samapatti in Buddhist circles, of course. In Islamic Sufism it is called fana. Regardless, Jnana Yoga effects the delamination and reverse engineering of the mind for the the benefit of dissolving the grip of the Ego.

My eyes, like two eyes of needles,
Met the thread of your eyes
And with me you sewed within me to sow real peace;

It's not for this Ego life,
It's not for its petty gain,
So what does it really matter
If in this life you do not attain?
