What a wally I am, I've just realised I linked the wrong song before - I was meaning to link a U2 song, not Smashing Pumpkins (I've fixed the link now - the Pumpkins song is here, for anyone that missed it the first time). The Pumpkins one is such a lovely song, though, so I'll put that down as a happy accident
Bless you for the songs, though, love 'em

Thank you, thank you , thank you !!!!! Fabulous dirty guitar, against very delicate lyrics, great combo, i can see why you fell in love with the pumpkins, i'll listen again !
The guitar reminded of this track by Lou Reed. Its so long but i felt it was an epic, its not something i listen to often if ever, but the song came to me during, a very turbulent time in my life and helped me get over the crest of a few waves ...The song is interesting because it has so much energy in a way and it sounds like he is celebrating 'addiction' but it's the opposite such a good track... the lyrics don't start till 3.00 minutes in ...then there is this great lyric @ 6 mins ..." I've got a whole in my heart the size of a truck .." beautiful stuff ...at the time i was totally identified with this description. ...Anyway if you choose to listen and find anything in that song fine if not fine too Bless Joe.

Interesting song, very old skool! Nice when a song comes along like that and touches you deeply, I remember listening to another Smashing Pumpkins song (yep, them again - sorry! ) called
'Soma' quite a lot when I was going through a very difficult in time in my life about nine years back, I found it very cathartic.

Their newest song. Australia's own old rockers.

Nice track thanks for sharing, oh it's by the pumpkins again i see ... again you got those two things going on ... delicate vocals ..deep lyrics and then the door is kicked in !!!! with the rolling drums and guitar, very interesting. How did you find or present tense bands like Radiohead ? They were contemporaneous with the Smashing Pumpkins ? There seems to be a little bit of similarity ? Or were they two very different creatures ?
