That's how my personal relationship with him is i.e. a male friend i cherish. Maybe interacting with Krishna in my dream strengthened my way of relating with him. I'm totally fine with anyone else considering God as female.

Me: GODDDDDD !!!!!!!!!!!

Reason: He just stick on me and put himself onto my face (spiritually), especially when I do certain works that he does not like. And then he just put his fish smelling body on me. So if I sense something funny, it's likely his doing.

Also the word "God" is rather modern - appearing about 1600 CE.

Another form of that question may be: What does The Source of All gain from manifesting Existence?

During the Mahapralaya, Existence ceases and there is only Beingness. In my observation Beingness is, while Existence comes and goes.

As far as I can perceive, The Source of All wishes to experience and produces universes with intelligence and energy and relationships and purpose. What then is evil from the perspective of The Source of All? Perhaps all experience has value.

Perhaps?
(You're new here, no problem - this is an Eng forum ...if you feel you must use an uncommon, non Eng word, pls give the definition. Thanks.)

The word God happened in 1600? Fascinating.

A diff perspective:
Well, from my direct, intimate experience with God, (no intellectualizing or wildly making this up, in other words) ....need is not something I write...
I actually write ''neeeeed".
This Infinite Amazing Creator God neeeds so much, His Heart bleeds for it.
But, hey, no one has to believe me!

(Is this Being also self contained and needs nothing ...yes, that, too...
thus, the Divine Paradox....but, imagine being The Only One.
Being Love Infinite with nothing TO love...oh 'He'* neeeds us alright.)

Not trying to cause trouble.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

Being new here I am not permitted to post links. Mahapralaya is sufficiently subtle that a short definition is not sufficient.

As humankind has remained a viable species for as long as it has, with we spirits animating bodies and learning whatever it is that we learn from those experiences, it seems logical to me to assume God is finding life here of benefit somewhere along the line.

I don't feel any need to praise it - there's no "He", "She", "him" or "her" for me - and neither does it need my praise. How pitiable my praise would be anyway of something so outside of my minuscule comprehension.

I'm just comfortable knowing it put in place whatever was needed for whatever purpose there is in our being here. God needs nowt from me individually although I might contribute a smidgen to the return we humans as a collective provide.

Ah, so you made ME do it for everyone.

Maha= great

Pral·a·ya : a period of dissolution or destruction of the manifested universe
at the end of a kalpa according to Hindu philosophy : the end of the world.

ˈkælpə ) or calpa. noun. (in Hindu cosmology) a period, measured in billions of human years,
in which the universe experiences a cycle of creation and destruction.

There are various lesser pralayas including for humans and for solar systems. By that account this is the second version of this solar system.

In the first our god was a god of intelligence and energy. Having learned that, our god withdrew the solar system from existence - and eventually formed a new version to learn right relationship - so that our god is now a god of love.

In the next solar system, having organised the intelligences and formed right relationships, the groups/species/kingdoms will be strong/coherent enough to withstand divine will and our god will learn to be a god of intent.

Being Love Infinite with nothing TO love

So now that he has imagined us, can we help God love us?

I do understand that this "now" may be beginningless.
