The brain was created to fulfil the desire to touch, to eat, to smell, to taste, to think, to feel to walk and so on. So it is actually the other way around.

Yes, on a microscopic level there is no actual contact only electrical force. However, all of the senses amount to the brain's preception to different electrical forces.

Not sure where the confusion is. Just because there's a physical explanation does not make the subjective experience any less real. Everything around you and in you right now can be explained by chemistry and physics (which isn't to say there isn't more, only that right now it can be explained...), but that does not devalue how you as a subjective 'I' experiences this. The described feeling is just an expression, put into words/images, and then creates the illusion of it being an abstraction. |
