I've reflected sometimes, that if i were a god, I would eventually get tired of knowing how everything is going to work out in advance all the time. Instituting something like the butterfly effect, where cause and effect is combined in so many possible permutations and interactions as to be mind-boggling, and even the smallest change somewhere along the line can result in an entirely different outcome, might be something I would investigate. Just for a change of pace if nothing else. Of course if that were to actually come to pass in some reality somewhere it would imply that the god in question is not interested in being a control freak though lol...

Sometimes when I used to paint or write poetry I would make a mistake, mix incompatable paints or misspell a word but oftentimes they were blessings in disguise, that new word sounded good and the effects caused by the paint mixes were revelations, new techniques,so these mistakes were like mystery seeds, some I no longer use but some grew and were very useful and impressed some people like new flowers they had never seen.I come across some of these seeds whilst cooking these days, the latest one was making a watery fruitbread mix and letting it brew, gaining the taste of wine.(naturally removes the fruit sugars too)

Hi podshell.

The "mistakes" which you made and describe had the consequence of presenting different ways of creating within your chosen way of crafting. Great. No apparently harmful consequences to you or your readers/consumers.

This kind of relates to the question which part of post 2 raises concerning the criteria by which we judge the effect of any particular consequence. ?

I don't know if there are any clear guidelines to follow in this respect other than considerations based upon the exercising of compassion/love/empathy.?

Why would we choose to use such criteria? -- maybe because in the case of the seemingly and increasingly evident necessary evolutionary development of our species, failure to do so will be a terminal mistake.

Basically, unless we do we're stuffed imo.

This world, the one we are all in, is, as it is, because of everything that has ever happened (is happening) in the universe. Every split second (or shorter) the whole universe changes according to its reactions,

This isn't called 'karma' - it's called evolution.
