Well, if it's humans, it must be some pretty rich ones with lots of time on their hands. But rich folk don't throw their money around w/o a purpose...? I'm sure we can all take a listen to Geo. Noory's show some time and hear both sides of the tale.

Man can't do them... there are very strange anatomical changes and stuff.
Scientists who go and study them can not explain it. Their findings are published and peer reviewed.
This site is well constructed and has lots of information (and no sensationalizm or speculation) on the facts.
The research team are all highly quallified in their respective fields. (Chech it out in the links left margin)

I'm inclined to think they are extra terrestrial, as they are found all over this planet and are so perfectly formed. I don't see how Earth is the only inhabited planet in our Universe. If it is aliens they must be peaceful.

It is the CIA and other secret service organizations, who are testing their focused sound guns. As the technology improves the patterns can become increasingly more sophisticated.
This 'sound gun' has already found practical application in keeping Somalian pirates at bay, e.g. when the cruise ship MSC Sinfonia was on a return trip from South Africa to Italy. |

They are man made. At first by hoaxers, now there are basically clubs that put together these intricate designs march out into the fields at night and make them. Their tools tend to be a lengths of rope to get the circles round and various home-made flattening tools designed to bend and not break the cops.
The video of lights seeming to flatten the crops that was floating around the internet a while back was finally found out to be a hoax by the guy who "taped" the incident, who later confessed.
No aliens.
No conspiracy.
Just people.
