Who creates crop circles?

Well I suppose they could be created both by aliens and humans. But it seems unlikely. There is probably only one source.

Well I disagree. Many have recently been made by human hoaxers, but with some of the earlier ones it was not clear, it was a mystery what made them.

I don't believe in 'aliens'; I take the line taken by people like Patrick Harpur in his outstanding book Daimonic Reality, which follows people like Jacques Vallee (and Jung) in showing UFOs as continuations of faerie presences. Read that book, before you make up your mind on UFOS! -- or crop circles. It's a staggeringly good read, no new age in it, no bargain-basement materialism either, has real soul.

I think crop circles are blueprints of some kind. Sent by aliens (humanoids) from a distant planet that could be from another solar system. It might be telling us Earthlings to look into them and develop the technology so that inter-galactic travel can be made possible. I believe all the crop circles are connected and are coming from the same source because they are like chapters. The earlier ones are simpler and two dimensional but the later ones, three-dimensional.

There's no reason to suggest man can't do it..! They can use the right time to do it, use the right tools, convince the farmers to let it happen etc.
They have all the needed time to do it without any wary people noticing it..

I think some extra terrestrial intelligence creates them too. I don't think hoaxers are capable of producing such complex and beautiful patterns. Especially in the middle of the night and without making any mistakes or leaving any traces of their presence there.

The recent ones are phenomenally beautiful and complicated. The interesting thing is that 99% of crop circles occur in Wiltshire and Oxfordshire in England. Why there?

The other alternative is that electrical charges released by planet earth creates them. A sort of Gaia creation.

But I don't believe people are capable yet of producing them with such secrecy.

This is how the stories are presented.
That some people / beings are supposed to do it during the night, without any others noticing it.

Who's saying that is the truth about it? There are endless seas of crop fields in many countries. How many people are going there every day? How many actually look at the fields and think ''there must be a group right now?''.. not many care! And the crops can be huge. Who will see a group of people fooling around? The hoaxers have all the time they need.

Crop circles are way to logical for that..

There are such things as "Man Made" crop circles. But there are distinct differences between the "man made" and the real thing.

Real crop circles are reported so have visible lights floating above the field and the image appears in mere moments as crops lie down to reveal a pattern. Post circle there is a significant amount of radiation detectable in the field, along with tiny balls of perfectly rounded metal fragments and the apparent cause for the crops lying down are blown out nodules in each stalk.

A while back a group of graduate students from MIT tried to recreate this phenomenon and found it is very unlikely the crop circles that have these obvious features could be man made with today's technology.

The man made fields are pretty obvious upon further inspection it is obvious the crops have been flattened with the application of pressure.

Some people suspect aliens, the professor behind the MIT study suggested it may be a naturally occurring phenomenon that we just know very little about like a lightening storm, tornado or aurora borealis. If that were the case I would have to say I am impressed at the geometric precision with which they are constructed. I myself, prefer not to speculate.
