Well loki my oldest is very attached to me so from the moment I picked him up! Oh my goodness he had some choice words to say to me! Iv never seen him so upset or even so talkative. He still throws fits its only been little over a week but when he starts I always to him "time out" and point up stairs ( my room is upstairs and no one but me go up there really) and usually if I catch early enough to reason with him hell listen but if hes angry enough hell stay and yell at you. Thankfully hes bonded with my dad quickly ( hes very distrusting of males. I had a roommate that abused him when he was a kitten when I wasnt around)

I am glad that Loki has bonded with your Dad.

I know exactly what you mean. Midnight will ask to go outside and (if I am busy--or inattentive) She will become demanding and sometimes my Son will yell at Her to be quiet and send Her to bed!

Midnight (promptly) runs off (in a huff) and gets on my bed. LOL

I make friends with animals every where I go. so I was woundering for those of you who know how to communicate with them, how do you do it? iv had one way conversations with my cats but I find I have trouble hearing them im reading a book on it right now but I was curious if there are other methods to this.

I am very sensitive to their energy (and energy in general) and the telepathic link is something that is strong with me. I also pay attention and communicate via body language. So communication isn't so much with words in that way, it is sensing their energy, feeling it, interpreting it, and responding accordingly. Like you, I've always been that way and it's something that came naturally to me (though I did build on that with a formal education as well).

I also think it's important to make the distinction between genuine communication with animals v.s. "communication" via anthropomorphism... I say that because it's this anthropomorphism that actually ends up causing a lot of problems for animals...

I believe that Animals are Beings--with their own personalities, feelings, intelligence, awareness, souls.

Human Beings--perhaps not--but Beings--notwithstanding.

I have had multitudes of Animals--all my life--and all of them have benefited from the love, compassion, empathy, and deference--with which I have always treated them.

Hi :)

I love it when animals say hello! Earlier I stopped off at the top of the cliffs, and a bird of prey was hovering, making it's way around slowly around. I went to cycle off and then looked at my foot. There was a blade of grass, but to the side was a green beetle on my shoe. It was quick to crawl onto my finger, but not so fast to get off again ~ wishing it well on it's journey!

Found a quiet spot in some gardens, where I could sit and read. After being there for a little while, I looked up to see a couple of magpies a crow had landed nearby :)

~ was looking for some videos and found a couple. Just about to watch the second one ~ poor little Coco :(

Thank you for sharing that story--StrandedSnowMonkey.

I love Animal greetings--too!

I have a Golden Lab/Pit Bull mix. He is a tire, old man--but every time I come home...He jumps up and down--wiggling like a Pup. He lifts my spirits--after a long, hard, day.

Ever your friend,

LadyTerra

Hi :)

Oh I know that wiggle well! And little hops to say here I am ~ such a nice balance between the love, and me me me

After reading for a little while longer, I watched the bees and bumbles for a while:

There were a few beetles about a little while back. Reacting to an itch on my face, and then realizing that it's a little creature rolling down my face ~ need to be more careful!

Right! Need to watch that second video...

Many blessings to you!

If a tree was falling towards me, I'd happily drop the camera and run! So in that sense (like my namesake, I am one for trees), anyone who relies too much on a camera, deserves to be squished
