It's like that belief oh you are poor or unsuccessful or sick etc because you don't know God or believe enough etc. Very judgmental. There are a ton of people selling this idea through books and courses etc. The power of belief. Buy my book or program to solve all your problems.

There was a guy here locally who owned a big hotel and he refused to evict people who could no longer pay their rent as he was a Christian and he said God would provide. It was on the news here. He said he believed 100% in God and that by doing the right thing God would provide. Few months later the bank took over the hotel and kicked everyone out to build luxury condos.

BigJohn,

I have never heard anyone extolling the idea that evolution will be our savior. The only ‘evolution’ that really matters is our own personal evolution of which we are the architect……and it is spiritual not material…..

Maisy,

Of course. That is the audacity of putting God to the test…not very Christian to me. We had some crazy evangelist here in the States praying and flopping around on the stage declaring that God had eliminated Covid…..millions died after this demonstration of prayer…..” you can’t always get what you want”..mainly because you are not God…..:)

Imo, beliefs are just mental representations of the ways our brains expect things to behave, when they don't we quickly change our beliefs....

Karma is not 'set in stone' so what you think is 'due' karma wise is changeable....

If you look at the two creation accounts: They are based on the belief of two separate entities. The second creation account is based on what people perceived their God to be. If you look at some of the posts on this forum about that entity, I would say most disapprove of that entity. As for the first entity: I would say some 'catch on' what that entity is all about but do not seem to grasp the full meaning of what that 'God' is all about.

this is exactly why i no longer like to think in terms of what I can get, when I am believing, praying, being positive, etc... it seems to me any more that what god wants to give is so much better than any of the pale imitations of life that I keep coming up with and trying to want...

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru
