third eye chakra

Hello All,

i've read some posts about people wondering if they have a third eye opening experience.

it seems that these experiences, those i read about so far, are signs of the third eye chakra beginning to open.

I opened my third eye chakra during a yoga course i was taking.
It was completely by accident.

Since then i see a constant flow of images of energies, people,symbols, sometimes religious figures. Just by closing my eyes i see this. And if i concentrate enough i can see it with my eyes open.

i was wondering if someone has the same experiences and knows more what to do with these exeperiences or to channel them with the right spiritual exercises.

Sounds as though you need to control this before it gets out of hand. Do you know how to spiritually/psychically protect yourself cause you sound wide open? meditation is in my opinion the way forward for you but others may differ it's what feels right for you that matters.
I don't know if there is a thread on protection but I know a good though basic visualization one, if you need it let me know. ;)

Why is it not safe to be wide open? Is it possible to be this open and be One with it? Thanks

If you are wide open and not in control anything could attach to you...things you may not want so it's important to open and close your third eye at will. if you are also open all the time you'll pick up so much stuff (negative and positive) of others around you it will send you batty after a while!
Yes it's possible to be open and be one with it but only when you have learnt control. Think of it as a flower on your forehead that opens and closes, practice this and it will work and give you control.

My third eye opening was like a sphere (sun) in the center of my head. I was able to see everything that was happening around me including behind me, even at distance.

Then there were the other times when I had the experience of going down a tunnel. During these times, my mind was gone....like I was dead. It started with an intense buzzing between my eyebrows.

As for what to do with it, I would suggest doing nothing. What you've been doing so far has worked..so I guess you need no guidance.

There are no exercises that will work. How can you exercise nothingness? Just relax and let it all happen. It settles down over several years, and all that's left is what's happening around you.

The thing people can miss about this whole awakening thing is that it's not about waking up to spiritual powers, but about stripping away of everything that is unnecessary.
Eventually, all that's left is the room you're sitting in, the computer that's in front of you and the sounds from the street outside.

It doesn't feel quite as special as visions and projections, but it feels solid, tangible, raw and direct.

Third eye openings and enlightenment and been commercialised, bottled and sold by self-deceiving charlatans and the spiritual community is paying a heavy price. As long as our minds are filled with such things, sleep is guaranteed.
