What does anyone make of this please?
I went to a Bible study group, somewhere I have been going fot while. I have made the decision to stop going, I told one of the people that runs the group, never said why as I believe that is between God and myself. He said I was welcome back anytime, I said thank you but took not that much notice. He text me tonight and this is what he said
Samantha Jesus loves you so much you are a dear sister to us we really love you. We will be praying for you to come Sunday and Thursday.
To me that sounds rather, no idea what it sounds like. What does it sound like to you?

The man who texted wants you to join back the group. He may honestly believe that that would be good for you.
I don't think that that is a message from Christ, as if Christ had one, He would've given it to you in a more direct way, with no possibility of misinterpretation. As you wrote: "I believe that is between God and myself"

Based on all the evidence apparently you stumbled into a church whose MO is prayer. Also sounds like you are curious….if so…there is only one way to find out. Without knowing you or them or the circumstances our ability to judge this matter is negligible…… |

I don't think it is coercive or using force or threats but it is interesting to me.

My abilities to judge things is pretty infinite lol. But I keep a lot of my opinions to myself when talking with others. I've found others in my life are not really interested in my opinions and thoughts. So voicing them just leads to negative energy and disagreements. I usually just nod my head in agreement while inwardly saying differently. |

Telling me that Jesus loves me so much and they as a group will be praying for me to come back would be insulting to me. But I get insulted easy. Just seems so egotistical to me to speak for Jesus and assume God would get involved if someone left their bible study group. |
