Building computer??

Have any one build a computer I’m thinking of getting a pc build kit from Corsair or if there are any other ones you can recommend??

I did want a water cooled pc but the maintenance is what bothered me the most than a standard fan cooled pc?

What pc do you use or are you a laptop person?

Do you stream, game, edit, music??

I use a laptop
I want a desktop ~ I want to build a good one
I am totally lost and computer illiterate ~ I have no Idea what to do
I use Apple because I've never had a good experience with any other brand

It's not too hard if you have some tek skills
But with chip shortage and high cost of motherboard s ect . I am not sure if I would build something right now. You know anything about the s b c s ? Like a raspberry pi.

My Son built his gamming one but getting the parts was NOT fun! Delays and orders wrong ! He would not do it again now he said. Unless he could find parts local.

A lot hear deponds on what you want a computer for . To just check e mail , comment on net forums , watch YT videos you dont need a high peformance mch. You can get low end m b s , video cards , ect farly cheep . If you want to play video games that require a fast proscesor and a high end video card . It will cost you a lot more for the hard ware . If you dont know what a s b c is . One of many by this guy and others .

Gave a look at a few of the other alternatives, and I’m not sure if can get them in the uk - will have to do some digging around but it’s good to know there’s alternatives!! Thanks for that #desert rat

I found a build kit and have saved some shopping lists in eBay Amazon for a fan cooled pc and a water cooled pc

Corsair , intel, ROG seem to have parts available at the moment here in the uk .

But I wanted to have a led screen on the tower.. I saw a water cooled on on eBay with 8-12” screen for 1700£££

But apparently it’s better to customise and build it into your build??? I wanted to run matrix wallpaper rain on it thought it would look sick!!!

I don't know enough to build my own so I just have always bought Hewlett Packard PC's (HP) online. I now get the ones with gaming cards, nvidia. Building my own I'd worry about getting the right power supply for the processor etc.

Most modern power supplies have all the plugs for all the modern mother boards . Hard drives . dvd drives , ect. Get a 500 watt supply and it will probly power most systems . Most operating systems /soft ware today is plug and play . In the old days you got a board played with the irq settings , ect untill you got it to work . With windows you load the m b chip set and video card drivers .
