Whatever the maturity level of a human being - baby, child or adult - the human body is animated by some mysterious energy we call our soul or our spirit. (words often used interchangeably) However we think of spirit or soul there isn't one kind of soul for a child and a different kind of soul for an adult.

Soul is soul. The only reason it acts like a baby when born is to acclimatize itself with the ways of this Earth and to let it's body or shell to grow.
All Souls are a part of God,(the Source),there is no such thing as a baby soul.

That's a little simplistic but logical for a soul who has not previously incarnated, a 'first-timer'.

This world is not populated solely by first-timers, though, and those who have experienced other incarnations will already be at least slightly familiar with conditions here. Theirs will be a different situation but even a soul with previous experience won't be familiar with its new, immature body.

The soul / spirit has to wait while mobility, limb control and communication skills develop and mature over a number of years. We do, of course, see some children develop more quickly than others and that may be down to the pre-existing spiritual progression of the soul / spirit animating it.

I don't understand what's meant here.

The essence is that there is no such thing as an adult soul or a child soul.

Off-topic now but whatever word you might prefer, soul or spirit is already perfect. As spirit we are from God, we are of God and essentially we are identical to whatever God is - yet different.

A spirits / soul is neither adult nor child and what differentiates one soul from another is its level of spiritual progression. Progression comes about during the odyssey of experience and discovery, the state of apparently 'being away' from source.

Much as I love such discussions, this thread is not the right place.
