Yep Newcastle is doing extremely well now that they’ve got the Saudi owners. They are now third in the league, even doing better than us! He must be bouncing!

Was just thinking. When I was travelling around Aussie on the east coast many years ago I met a Geordie bloke in the backpackers and sat a lot with him cos I loved hearing his accent. Anyway as I was travelling alone he asked if he could come with me as I was heading north. I said, can ya cook. He said, yes. So I said GET IN! We spent quite few days together and had a helluva good laugh. Whilst we were going thru the outback he said, I’ve just told my mates in Newcastle that Im tearing thru the outback with a b……… scouser! Good fun tho.

Jus remembered, when I went on holiday a few years later to the UK I went up to Leeds where he lived. He took me to the moors. Omg I just loved it. I started running like mad, shouting Heathcliffe, Heathcliffe like in withering heights. We had a laugh. That’s where your from isn’t,it.

I am from Greater London and have a fairly well-spoken London accent…apart from when I have had a few beers, and then I can sound a bit chavvy.

Re dreamjo

Yes the accents of Newcastle, Liverpool and Scots seem to stick cos they are so strong. I’m past caring tho. It is what it is.
