Poems and Songs have given me the deepest meaning and pleasure and happiness in my life to date. Inspired by this thought, I wrote a few words spontaneously
this morning to express it even more, hope you like them.
The songs are my teachings
Of how to live vulnerably
In this world
Only when I do so
Do I become the Venerable Joe
I know no other home
Save the trickle of words
That rises from my soul
Through grey dawns
Harsh winds and sun it rises
Slow and abrupt
Like a newborn's exasperation
Or the dying man’s final exhalation
It rises in me
Towards the light and into the darkness
The singing soul, the singing soul
No greater explanation has ever been
Found, ever been found
Then the singing ground
And the singing soul
Holy are they that seek out it’s solace
Rich are they that know it’s cadence bright
The Angels around take rest
And God himself begins to play

But it's the last line isn't it?

I used to have this written down and lost it...with the name of the guru that said
God was like a little boy playing in a garden ...or did he say jungle.
And did he say playing with insects? Wish I could find it.
I picture him laughing often, but usually with a big beaming smile...in His heart - since he has no human face.
