A psychic may not be the best individual to approach - better to seek out an experienced medium. Please do remember that even the most experienced practitioner can't summon up either your family member(s) or your supposed spirit guide(s).
Additionally any spirit individuals who come through may NOT be who you expect. The identity of any communicator needs to be carefully established to make sure they're someone of relevance to the sitter and not just a random spirit wanderer.
A competent, experienced medium knows all of that of course.

Yes spiritual experiences are personal to each individual and any individual may experience differently from any other individual. With spirit communications via mediumship, however, certain fundamentals apply overall, the way I've mentioned. These also help protect the wellbeing of spirit communication recipients.
