"who knows compassion
Who, being a destroyer
Would not see me destroyed."

Your words are truly inspiring. If I may ask, do you work solely with Egyptian deities, or do you incorporate other pantheons?

I work mainly with Anubis and Sekhmet from the Egyptian Pantheon (with a smattering of Isis), Freyja and to a lesser extent Odin from the Nordic Pantheon, and I just bought a pendant of Artemis from the Greek Pantheon as I have been inspired to deepen my work with her.

So I would call myself eclectic. My first deep relationship was Anubis, and he still plays a significant role in my life. However, as a woman who believes deeply in the need for healing of the Divine Feminine, and the power/necessity of the Feminine in this world, my truest aspirations lie in the hands of the strong Godesses, Freyja, Sekhmet, and perhaps now Artemis. Each deity brings something unique to my life and I am deeply honored to have a relationship with each of them. Their gifts are truly boundless.

Thank you for sharing. The Egyptian deities definitely have staying power for a reason! Are you familiar with Ishtar / Inanna of the Mesopotamians? I used to perform ritual invocations of Her on every month in order to connect with the Divine Feminine at that level or in that way (however you want to say it). As a guy, I feel such practice helps to promote balance. Listening to Madonna and Gloria Estefan also help to that end. And no, I'm not being crass or facetious!

Here's a poem/prayer I wrote of Her (the Divine Feminine, not necessarily Ishtar) personified as Lunar energy.

=================================
Pierce The Hollow
------------------------
“The mystery is concealed beneath the waters and the gate.
There are forty-five steps to the Ninth House (which some call the Second),
Then three to the Center,
Followed by An Hundred Fifty and Six.”

No, there’s nothing wrong...
This is the scene.
This is the scene in which the Lady Moon
Arrives to evoke the daily swoon
Of daylight in the firmament bright,
She commits it to sleep at the dawn of Her night;
With blessings far-woven through the tight-lipped trees
And aided by the tide of the silvery breeze,
She calls to Her seekers, She guides with Her Spell,
She leads us to the verge of the forgotten well
Of obscure dreams and paths unsought
And rapture cloaked and veiled seeing,
Behind the chrysalis of cynical thought,
Beyond the integument of material being.
Within, where the wind whisks soft that Silent pool
Brimming with Perception, yea, She dances in our soul,
Her holy feet barely but grazing the hallowed ground
As She swirls and She whirls and She twirls to the sound
Of euphonic violet laughter, lunar lucence of lissome love
Imbued for ever after! Inside and high above!!
She beckons! She beckons by irresistible grace,
A sigh in Her solace, Her starlit embrace...
She bears change like a psychogenic gem in Her crown
That pairs to the shimmer of Her celestial gown;
Her mirror unlighted, sharp crescent, shining sphere:
Mere projections of this Goddess, this fey mystical seer
Whose cheerful presence is the spirit of Her renown.

“Lady Moon, I hear!”
*Exeunt omnes. The curtain comes down.*
