Catchy tune and I agree with the sentiment … but do we have to become “pretendians” to express it with fake Maori face tattoos to boot …
Liked the Swedish title better: “När vindarna viskar mitt namn” - “When the winds whisper my name”.
And yes, be it Amerind, Saami, Inuit, Siberians, Oz Aboriginal … we all knew/know the old way of “getting memos” brought to us by the ‘wind’ & I know that you know this too …
But lately ‘keeping the culture’ seems to have become superficial Tik Tok culture ….. entertainment, which can be fun but it is also so empty … |

Of course, Oren Lyons deserves the highest of respects, love the man, and even if this musician wasn’t his grandson – who can argue with reggae?

Just your down-to-earth local lads creating a grass roots band - playing in community events, bringing people together and then everyone basking in the warmth of it.
