Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

The Tetragrammaton was in the older manuscripts. Being there is no word for the Tetragrammaton in Greek, English, etc., it should have been brought forth as a share word, instead it was brought forth with words such as LORD for its English 'equivalent'.

And then there is the Tetragrammaton.

The Tetragrammaton is transliterated as YHWH from Paleo Hebrew and Old Hebrew. The Tetragrammaton in Paleo Hebrew and Old Hebrew did not have vowels, people guessed at what they were. But then, some people had help. The Masoretic text provided the diacritical marks to help with correct pronunciation. There is debate exactly what is the correct pronunciation, but the one scholars seem to use is Yahweh.

When the name Jehovah was becoming part of the English languish, it appears the name was carried over from other languages such as Latin and German.

Unfortunately some people may believe you know what you’re talking about.

This reminds of the ubiquitous schwa in American English. You almost need no vowels to be understood.

Being you didn't feel like qualifying your statement, I will still give you a reply.

I wrote "The Tetragrammaton is transliterated as YHWH from Paleo Hebrew and Old Hebrew."

In Paleo Hebrew, the Tetragrammaton is written something like this:

Each letter is written from right to left. When we transliterate each word in to English and restructure it to read from left to right, we get YHWH. As you can see, the letters are only consonants and there are no vowels.

Also, which should be noted, transliterations are only approximations of how a word sounded like.

The Paleo Hebrew language changed, just like most languages change, till it got to the version of Hebrew I call Old Hebrew. In that language, the Tetragrammaton was written something like this:

As I mentioned before, each letter is written from right to left. When we transliterate each word in to English and restructure it to read from left to right, we get YHWH. As you can see, the letters are only consonants and there are no vowels.

Also, which should be noted, transliterations are only approximations of how a word sounded like.

Then the Masoretic Text provides us with a Tetragrammaton that is used over 6500 times which is יְהֹוָה and is typically translated as Yahweh.

This version, helps us in trying to grasp how the Tetragrammaton was pronounced. Their is still much debate in the actual pronunciation of the word mainly because we are dealing with transliterations. To compound the situation, some scholars have speculated Paleo Hebrew and what I call Old Hebrew, might have been a tonal language. Being English is non-tonal, it is hard for non-tonal speakers to understand tonal languages.

In Paleo Hebrew, the Tetragrammaton is written something like this:

.

Literal meaning of each letter:
Ox,Behold,Nail,Behold

P.S. These literal meanings are probably abbreviated and there are probably more in-depth versions.
