You cant. For better world you need better people. The only thing that would make world better is if next generation is not f-up as previous one. So you need to try and be a descent stable person and raise 2-3 normal children within a healthy family environment. And to educate them to be smart intelligent individuals. If everyone does the same next generation would live in a better world. Everything else is just ego because this is making sacrifices for future of others and not some self centered feel good thing. You have to invest your entire life in it if you want it to be for real because kids are hard.

At the end some ordinary housewife that is a good mother to 3 children does more to make world better than Bill Gates with his billions to charity because that doesn't address the core of a problem. Yes, his money could reach more but wont change the world as a whole for the better in any significant way. On the other hand that mother effort is less relevant because its just 3 people but she is a blueprint that would make a difference if applied by most. But that's unrealistic and both sides achieve almost nothing. So, as I said at the beginning, you cant change the world for better, you can only change yourself and influence your surroundings, try to bring more good against insanity of majority even if odds are always against you.
