They kinda do tell you if they raise the price. That is how they communicate it to you. It's just up to you to notice it.

Yes I've heard rinsing is not enough too.

Far as I'm concerned veg is boiled. If that doesn't kill it all off nothing will.
Salad, I just eat it, I don't even wash it LOL... |

Please believe me, the shopkeeper feels guilty too.
We had to increase our prices especially on confectionery ( which got smaller ) but I always put a notice of apology about the price increase on my counter . |

I have a friend last week say, "Wash an avocado, an orange?...I never do!"
Then, I gave her a scenario of where ALL those hands could have been before she brought it into her kitchen and what may
have crawled on her cheese package in the the warehouse and truck ....So
PLEASE, toss the packaging out and wash things before you cut into them contaminating the entire fruit. ...
even cantaloupe and melons!
(My typical scenarios are grapic and gross, btw.)
And that was not the first x I talked to a friend
bringing out cheese from their fridge in the original packing. Gross.
And those shopping carts! Good grief, what kids smear all over them!

. All those are extremely good points. Not to mention, rolling all over the floor, sometimes hanging out under the shelves a few days. People sneezing on them and so on. Seen it happen many times just in the store. People going to the bathroom then not washing there hands then checking out the produce one by one.
