Soon, I will be presenting the layout for 5 cards on a piece of paper which will later be printed on card stock.

The hardest part of printing your own cards is the registration...... that is, making sure the front of the paper for each card aligns up perfectly with the backs of the cards on the back of the paper. For some, this is the hardest part because we will be using the mirror image of the front.

I found it easier and less stressful to just send my designs through to a playing card printing service. Saves on all the aggravation of setting up your printer and printing errors and the quality is loads better than home printing.

I have designed a couple of decks. You immediately put yourself in the deck when you design and color it yourself, plus it can be fun. I have a number of Major Arcana cards that are 3-feet tall, which I did myself. At the temple where I studied Tarot, back in the 1970’s, they had 6-foot cards hanging on the walls. I put my 3-foot cards on the walls in my home, in my bedroom and my study, and that way the cards are the first thing I see when I awaken from sleep in the morning.

This is a 'fun' exercise.

'Seeing' how simple it is to layout a complete deck and print it can be fun and can be a way to proof the deck.

Sounds like you turned them into posters.

            Here is the layout for the cards on paper.
Each paper shows which cards will be printed on that paper.

For example, the first tarot card will go on paper one in the slot
label 1. I will show you this later.

Each card need a design that is the same for each card.

The design I came up with is uniform and is the same, if the card is upside down or not.

This is the layout for the back of the first 5 cards.

Card number 1 is 1/4" from the top and 1/4" from the right.
The gap between card 1 and card 3 is 1/4"
Card number 3 is 1/4" from the top.

If you do this, the back of the cards will align up properly with the front of the cards.
