I found this story on Sathya and Pearl Dorris. Pearl was for some time the teacher of Peter Mtshasta and she was in telepathic contact with ascended Master St Germain.

Do you have some experiences with him ?
No certainly Satya sai was not incarnation of Krishna . Though there were some devotees , not much legacy is left due to his controversial dealings.

I asked the question to someone who knows a lot on the matter :

Sathya Sai Baba was a true avatar, and also one of the incarnation of Krishna.

I read somewhere Ram Dass a testimony, when he saw Sathya materialise an objet in front of him (jewelry). He first saw Sathya make a circular gesture with his hand, he saw a blueish light forming in Sathya's hand and then the jewelry materialized from this light.

He asked Sathya how did he materialize this. Sathya said that he didn't materialized it, he had a lot of jewelry on his warehouse, and what he's doing is teleporting them.

Sathya Sai Baba has definitely got a spiritual presence to him. People feel it even if they are in another part of the world. I have felt it too. But it is not necessarily a benign presence. It feels odd - like a spiritual force or energy. I have often prayed to Jesus to be protected from him.

From the Ram Dass link, I never thought of it this way.

Re the trinkets Sai Baba made appear: ''This makes you open to the Spirit. For those who are not ready, it just makes them
worship the person performing the miracle... " -Ram Dass

Gee, Honza - I don't know why Sai Baba would ''do'' anything to you to be protected from ... giving him your
fear would make him just notice you more!! Imo.
Personally, I would pray for protection from the scammers in my own city or on the internet!!

Rem - you do not know that...you can't just say these things as if they are FACT here.
You have to qualify it, as in ...''I do not believe that..."

This goes for everyone reading this.

IMO he is an exceptional being, but my guess is that he is just as caught up in the spiritual cycle as anyone else. The fact that he died from a heart attack many years before he predicted he would die shows he was not truly a master of his own destiny. I also wonder if the fact that Jesus was crucified (or felt the need to be crucified) shows He was not fully in control too. It is all a mystery!

Control seems imp to you.
Not to me ---trust is WAY more imp, for me. Knowing all is perfect...
the way it's meant for me to grow and learn...the good, the bad and the ugly.
Control? Sure I can control some things.
