Who was Sathya Sai Baba ?

Was he really an avatar ? Was he the reincarnation of Krishna ?
Do you have some experiences with him ?

No. But, my gosh, was he ever a controversial person ...like most guru/yogis in the spotlight.
So you may get mixed responses. Keep in mind - we just do not know, if we
did not have contact with him....that darn media can be brutal!

Yes, I knew a family or two ~ they prayed and showed how Vibhuti (sacred ash) came onto the photo frame of the picture! I was in college then, sceptical but yes, they did believe devoutly, so I just went with the flow so as not to offend them, being good friends

I did not interpret that from what he said...Sathya claimed to be the reincarnation of someone before him, that's all. :)

It's from wikipedia about Sathya :
At the age of fourteen, he claimed that he was the reincarnation of Shirdi Sai Baba, and left his home to serve his devotees.

Looking at Sathya, i get the feeling he wasn't an ordinary man.
