Beavers under threat now.

Beavers were re-introduced into the West Country. Anglers are complaining and DEFRA has invented some spurious reason to cull them. We cannot allow this to happen. MAKE YOUR VOICES HEARD !

I'm glad that you have publicised this, norseman! I suspect that anglers are behind this appalling proposal. I noted these words in the article you have cited:

'The Angling Trust says its members need more beavers “like we need a hole in the head” and maintains that its members have the “right” to shoot them as an invasive species. Mark Lloyd, the body’s chief executive, said: “The release of these beavers has not been formally sanctioned and they should be removed.” '

(Bold stress in mine).

As for DEFRA, it should be renamed "Department for Elimination and Free Removal of Animals"!!

There are said to be just 3 beavers at the Devon site. Hardly a population explosion....

Does the anglers association or its leaders donate to the Tory party by any chance?
