Absolutely agree with this. I've experienced the rocking quite a bit over the last few years (it happened a few days ago, funnily enough - it's intermittent, I can go weeks without it happening), and I just focus on allowing my body to breathe, and let it rock if that's what it wants to do. I see little value in forcing the body to be rigidly still, that's just going to create physical tension which is counter-productive (I go by Jon Bernie's rule of thumb for whether a spiritual practice is working: 'Is the space opening, or is it getting tighter?').

Eat your veggies including the ones you might not like such as Brussels sprouts and spinach. Okay, you can skip okra as aside from gumbo it's kinda slimy.
Quit watching so much TV. Get outside and breathe some fresh air.
Stop spending so much time on social media. Hmm... Note to Self: Stop spending so much time on SF. LOL!

Hello Kpate,
And welcome to SF.
Something wonderful is happening to you in your meditations. A deep Joy in meditating will grow in you that may let you want to meditate for hours instead of 30 minutes.
Maybe you wont even have to meditate anymore. Who knows?
But enjoy every moment of It!

When I meditate and close my eyes, after some time I normally see a circular blob of blue/purplish color that sort of morphs around the edges of the circle are very irregular but in general its circular and it moves around. Sometime the color is vivid blue other times its a bluish purple or a variation of blue/purple. Sometimes I see it sometimes I don't.
Does anyone have any thoughts or comments about any of these things? I have only been meditating for about a year most every day for 20-30 minutes or more and I focus on my breath or try to.

Miss H, thank you for your advice as well. You said, "Concentrating on the breath is not the end all and be all ..it is a tool...it's where the breath takes you." This helps me very much to hear this. Very thankful for this forum and the great insights and information.

I find meditating while rocking from side to side to be enjoyable.
You say you see things...... try opening your eyes and see if they are still there. If they are.... I would consider that you have advanced one more level.
As for the color, if you see it with your eyes open, it might be your aura. Try breathing thru your mouth and see if the breath ripples thru your aura. If you see a ripple effect, then I would say it is your aura.
As for the bluish/purple color, that seems to fit in with what your aura color probably is when meditating.
