I love jasmine, rose, bergamot, juniperberry and pine. I find my tastes have a seasonal rotation. Juniperberry and pine are for winter. Jasmine and rose late summer/Autumn and bergamot Spring/early summer. I also have black pepper, peppermint and sandalwood in my collection but rarely used.

I have lavender and rosemary in the garden and make smudge sticks from these. I find the smell lingers for several days afterwards. I'm not a huge fan of lavender but it's spiritually cleansing and good for digestive issues so it's in the house and particularly hung up to dry in a subtle place in my crystal child's room.

I use an oil burner for my scents. I had different oils that could go on skin with a carrier oil but stopped buying them as I rarely used them.

Reading through the thread I realised I used to adore ylang ylang but. Haven't used it for years. It may be time to rediscover it. I think I replaced it with bergamot which is beautiful.

Rose is just AMAZING!! I use it and it's like opening a huge hole in my forehead. For me, it's just perfect for spiritual tasks.

I've also just come across some info, that pure coconut oil can be used as a carrier.. It's worth checking at the local pharmacy to see how the prices of the coconut oil stand against that of carrier oils sold along with essential oils... Never used anything else other than proper carrier oil as yet, but aim to do so some time in the future... Info on some of these matters, can be found: using Mr Google...

Robbie....

I use a similar dilution, just usually in smaller quantities so that I don't risk it going to waste you can use coconut oil as a carrier, any generic off-the-shelf supermarket oils work fine... olive oil has an interesting pong though, best avoided!

Anthony, blend the essential oils in to carrier oils and rub them on. I use grapseed, sweet almond, apricot kernel or jojoba carrier oils.
