Here's a video I stumbled upon many, many years ago that inspired me to take meditation much more seriously - "Becoming Conscious: The Science of Mindfulness" - and where I first heard of Resting in Awareness, also known as Choiceless Awareness and Do Nothing Meditation courtesy of Jon Kabat-Zinn. One of the panelists, Neuroscientist Richard Davidson, is in the short excerpt of "A Joyful Mind" above.

"Meditation and Going Beyond Mindfulness - A Secular Perspective". Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche is a Tibetan monk and frequent participant in Richard Davidson's lab investigations into mindfulness meditation. He's also the monk in the first clip being inserted into the fMRI machine.

I know it's a lot of info but if one is serious about meditation, either as a secular or spiritual practice, it's really invaluable stuff.
