Theory of detachment
Hi bobjob
The reason of using phrase of old soul comes from one of the personal revelations I went through that resonates with spiritual/ vedas/ upnishads books I read in the beginning of my journey. As per the knowledge in this holy books, it is said if a person shows certain characteristics they are considered old souls meaning they have been on this realm for many years/ eons and are ready to move to next. Such characteristics are as follow:
1. Spiritual curiosity at young age( a need to gain spiritual or religious knowledge at age when normal teenagers like to engage in material life such as procrastination or social gatherings related involving drinking and sexual activities.
2. Not enjoying or feeling the need of having or experiencing normal human activities such usual cycles of getting a job…having a wife/husband….having kids…grandkids. An unnatural feeling of fully fed for these experiences.
3. Seeing the world as it is and knowing pain and suffering stays and will stay and will give one sense of detachment from involving one self in repeated actions of desire/action/result cycle.
