Stillness in Illness
Body aflame
In deep pain
Yet in the illness
Am in inner stillness
Experience as offered
Is accepted, not deferred
Plunging into depths of sensory pain
Difference between pain & suffering, is plain
Pain is just pain, requiring no retention
Flowing in the continuum of staid attention
Still in the turbidity
Stillness maintains stability
Of course there is a pain threshold
When consciousness folds
Then as a leaf floating in a stream, surrendered
Unexpectantly accepts what is, in detached wonder
In stillness

Delusion to Illumination
Within the bubble of illusion
Confinement creating confusion
Thoughts & senses bringing delusion
Memory subtracted
Self serving gross attracted
Life narrow, thus enacted
Within our limited tenure
Yet the fear to be secure
Is an anomaly needing a cure
Universe has provided a clue
Inexplicably seen by very few
How we may begin anew
Sorrow inevitable in external ephemeral
Permanent joy found in the internal eternal
All we need to do is step out of our egoic circle
Universe knowing that in the bubble we know not
Just requires us to surrender ego & still thought
Submerged in the divine stream; we are then self taught
Inculcating Trust & Love, no self doubt
Mirrorless seeing, without running about
‘I AM HE!’ We then, from rooftops shout!

Slippery reality
Agendaless wondrous gazing
At the offering ineffably amazing
Was in the pristinity of stillness held
In boundless rapture by presence beheld!
Hidden wanting
Subtle prompting
Egoic contraction
End of cognition!
The perfect & enchanting view now distorted
Because the lens through which we look is contorted
Consciousness skewed, contracted, slanted
Bemused, deluded, egoic banners flaunted
A short tragic-comic tale
Where we are both the hero & the villain!
Magic of the now by thought made stale
Going around in circles, rudderless we sail
Stillness disappears where begins its delineation
Nemesis being egoic consciousness prioritisation
We can think, so we need to know! But who are we?
The man made personality? Or the God individuality?
Free will! The Universe gift of love, bestowed ahead of our time
Who’d have guessed that we’d opt for the gross grime ...
Instead of the divine sublime
We may yet retrieve the connect, if we but listen to our inner chime
Now! In stillness ...

Stillness : The extended pause
Detachment from fragmented thought streams
Observed by the quiet & still observer-beam
As our innate interest shifts from the external to the internal
From the ephemeral to the eternal
Egoic flirtation with each egoic thought pattern is shortened
Gaps between two thoughts embraced and thereby lengthened
Meaning thereby, fragmented thought contracts
Intuitive expands, when meditational stillness enacts
Our state of attention, here, there, wherever, being a perennial constant
Attention continuum in any band being conjoined sequential instants
As the time-range & intensity of narrow thought does reduce
We do not have to be a Sherlock Holmes to deduce
That the lengthened gap between two thoughts, the still, rippleless pause
Is in our ego surrendered childlike trust, the genesis, the cause
Of expanded Universe connectedness
In a state of free flowing be-ness
Arising within our meditation
Is ineffable inner joyous elation
Within the divine current
When, at a Universe ordained instant
We first imbibe, then assimilate divine love enablement
A consciousness ascension without abatement
In the continuum of Universe connected stillness

Enlightenment enigma
Like it or not, we rely upon memory
Experiences, imagery ...
Memory is constantly enhancing
By fresh embracing
Cognitive layer over layer over layer
Reflecting changing hues of our prayer
The river we once crossed is not static
Our consciousness, the Universe too, is dynamic
Since they are moving, vibrant, alive!
The elixir of life too, deep within the hive ...
Though it nourishes & enables, is changing
Just as our consciousness is evolving
Enlightenment then, if a finality, is death, stagnation
An imaginary goal comforting egoic imagination
Not enlightenment then but gradual ascension
Expanding divine connectedness defying rendition
Presence in stillness within movement imperceptible
Dispersing love from the bottomless crucible
We are, in the now, dynamically complete
In stillness, within expanding joy, complete
Epilogue:
Still yet moving?
Centred yet expanding?
Explain the thoughts!

Observe the gaps, not the dots!

The form ...
Still
Intense
Absolute!
The eyes ...
Aflame
Radiating
An amber glow!
No form, no shape ...
Just amber eyes
Merged, converged
Single all seeing eye!
Our presence ...
As the occupier
Of the vehicle
Welcomes the amber eye!
In stillness

Navigating the pathless path
Asked the Universe to provide a clue
How we may cleanse off our egoic glue
‘It is not a glue but a bubble like cover
That over our conscience does hover
With no outward focus & centred within
In stillness, at each moment anew begin’
Asked the Universe to provide a rule
To breeze through this hard earth school
‘Keep sight of the subtle fragrant love hue
Thought-purity purer than morning dew
Joyous expansion of consciousness
In a continuum of rippleless stillness‘
