Kjw47,

If we accept your scenario the question becomes “Who will accept this scenario ?”

Taken to its logical conclusion it seems to imply and point to many things. First, there will be no free will…..followed by no longer having an ego. All the things that we revel in on earth will no longer be applicable. No longer a joy in attempting to prove ourselves right and others wrong. No joy in being a contrarian. Accepting those we would have never accepted on earth. The list is endless. I would not say to be careful of what you wish for……but I would say be prepared for the things that will proceed from entering the Kingdom.

You were joking around, right?

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

Miss Hepburn,

Not at all. What was described was a world of no discord. Discord comes from having a difference of opinion. Opinion’s birth is made possible by free will and is a reflection and result of individual egos.

Please remember that I said “if you accept this scenario”. I did not say that I accepted or rejected it. My response was contingent on believing that scenario as it was articulated……:)

Interesting, Mo.
I would be the opposite ...in that, I can accept and imagine a world like this fully. In fact, I think I will lay back on
my imaginary float with the Sun above me (84 degree salt water) and imagine it more right NOW! LOL
(In Key West, where I lived for years.)

Miss Hepburn,

Hahaha…..:). Does that imaginary world allow for free will and the ego ? That is the stumbling block for me…..:)

I ask that because Jesus informs us in the Lord’s Prayer that God’s will IS done in heaven and He prays that it will be done on earth(the new earth ?)……does that give room for our will ? Can it be any different than the will of God ?

Sky,

The short answer at the present time is NO…..:). My speculation tells me that at some time they will be in agreement…..either in heaven or the new earth(whatever that means). Contemplating this is uncomfortable for many because they equate the loss of free will with the loss of freedom. Theoretically freedom is something that we hold near and dear to us. But I might suggest that true freedom rather than being an overwhelming multiplicity of choices might counterintuitively be a freedom from choices. Many of us already experience some measure of this freedom by the bad choices that we have eliminated in our lives. Perhaps you have some memory of when we discussed via negative…..the philosophy of the elimination of bad choices which helps to lead to enlightenment.

I personally dont believe in ' free will ' so the loss of freedom to me is not uncomfortable.....
Everything is 'Cause and effect' imo....
